Suspense was at its highest until the arrival, the 25th of July. After a very intense last rallying stage, it is finally Bertrand Pacé, and his crew on Sud de France/Languedoc Roussillon, who finally took the advantage and clinched first place. The first 3 steps of the podium are proudly equipped with Adrena Software: Courrier Dunkerque, leader of the team French championship, clinched second place, and Nicolas Troussel, with Bretagne Crédit Mutuel crew, takes the third place. Monotype boats have done their first tests in really windy conditions. But for the competitors, this boat has got its stripes as reliable and quick with downwind!
Transquadra
While the Tour de France was in full swing, the last Transquadra competitors were crossing the Porto Santo finishing line the 17th of July. Whether boats were taking their starts from Saint Nazaire or from Barcelona, in solo or in duo, all competitors of the 7th Edition of the race had to face a capricious wind. Some of our Adrena users are on the podium: let’s notice the victory in duo on “Williwaw” for Blandine Medecin and Jean Rodelato, with a very quick finish after a 9 days regatta from Barcelona. In solo, the second place on the race between Saint Nazaire and Porto Santo, of Jean-François Hamon on his “Festa”, just behind Philippe Vicariot, put the software on the spotlight.
Transgascogne
The 13th Transgascogne was also as interested as expected. This race, in which pro and amateurs can compete, was taking place offshore Talmont, in Charente-Maritime, and it is part of the Mini Circuit. This race revealed a winning trio of ADRENA users in proto solo! David Raison (1st), Thomas Normand (2nd) and Nicolas Boidevezi (3rd) did an excellent job during the 650 miles of the race. The Gascogne Gulf Crossing was organized in two stages, between Port Bourgenay and Ribadeo. It was a very technical race, ideal for those training before the start of the 6.50 Transat.
Solitaire du Figaro
Finally, the 2011 Solitaire du Figaro happened to be a real fight between the competitors, but also against the sea and the weather conditions. From Perros-Guirec, where the start was given, the skippers were always navigating almost side by side. Jérémie Beyou, on BPI, managed to lead the race very early. After winning the 2nd and the 3rd stages, he definitely marked his leadership during the 4th stage, between les Sables-d’Olonnes and Dieppe. Jérémie Beyou succeeded in getting a few seconds ahead of his competitors on the finishing line, winning both the last stage and clinching first place on the Solitaire du Figaro podium for the second time. Just behind him we can find Fabien Delahaye on Port de Cean Ouistreham, and Erwan Tabarly, on Nacarat. So the whole Solitaire du Figaro podium was equipped with Adrena!
Congratulations to all of them !
